The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) holds meetings on the second Saturday of every month at the CERT trailer in the parking lot on the north side of Monta Loma School. Drop in any time between 9:00 and 11:00.
The Annual Meeting and Board Election was held on Thursday, May 30, 2024. The neighborhood garage sale in past years was such a success that we held one in May 2024. Reports can be found by scrolling through the articles on the home page.
The annual Ice Cream Social is held on the Sunday before Labor Day weekend (that’s eight days before Labor Day, and normally the last Sunday in August), in Monta Loma Park. The 2023 event was held Sunday, August 27. See article on Home Page. The 2024 event is scheduled for Sunday, August 25.
Block parties are encouraged, with participants observing Covid safety advice. The Progressive Dinner was held annually in early December until Covid resulted in cancellation.
