The notice board was erected by the City at the request of Wouter Suverkropp while he was he president of the MLNA in 2010. It held announcements of both city and neighborhood events until the Covid quarantine beginning in 2020 ended most city public events. Now city events are announced electronically, but a neighbor posts the Monta Loma newsletter when each quarterly issue is printed, plus city information.
