A larger-than-ever crowd of more than 200 neighbors enjoyed the Spring Fling on March 4. The adults chatted with long-time and new neighbors, and also with our mayor, two city council members, and representatives of our Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), the MV Police Department, Neighborhood Watch, Mountain View Trees, Community Outreach, and the MV Mediation Program. New attractions were the city’s bookmobile and recycling program. A list of all the exhibitors with links to them is here.

So that parents could chat, children made superhero capes at the crafts table and were offered balloon creations and cotton candy.

The event was held in conjunction with Monta Loma School’s PTA’s very successful used-book sale, and many attendees said how much they enjoyed and appreciated both events. Many thanks to everyone who helped or attended, including Jim Cochran, who again took photos.
