The workshop conducted by Mountain View Trees on June 11 was deemed a great success by the presenters and the attendees. Neighbors had submitted their questions in advance, enabling Susan Hamilton and Ray Morneau of Mountain View Trees to research the answers.

Topics included low-water trees, citrus/olive trees in pots, pruning/topping, fruit tree protection, minimum water use, how to recognize/predict disease, landscaping under a redwood, Deodars, street-tree responsibility, and what type of avocado is successful here.

This neighborhood-specific workshop, held at the shady picnic tables behind Monta Loma School, was a first for MV Trees, and Susan is eager to hold more for other neighborhoods.
