The Annual Meeting and Board Election was held on Wednesday, May 31, at 250 Mayfield Ave. MLNA Board President Jill Rakestraw introduced the board candidates, who were elected unanimously. The new board members are listed here.

Jill showed a slide of the past year’s activities and their numbers: welcome packets handed out (27), block parties (13), Ice Cream Social attendees (300), Spring Fling attendees (200), and progressive dinner participants (36).

After the election City of MV Senior Management Analyst Cynthia Palacio explained the city’s food-scraps recycling program. Postcard notices will go out in June, and containers will be distributed beginning July 5. Collection of food scraps begins the week of July 17.
